Font test

Every typeface we use in Bedrock Society, in one place — and a slot for yours. Drop in a .ttf, .otf, .woff or .woff2 and it is set beside ours at the same size, in the same text. Nothing is uploaded: the file is read in your browser and forgotten when you close the tab.

Built for anyone picking a font for a small-screen game. Pixel faces in particular behave very differently from what a specimen page usually shows — they are sharp at some sizes and mush at others, and you only see that by dragging the slider.

What each face can spell

The characters that decide whether a face is usable, set in each face at 28 px. Look, don't trust a table: where a glyph is missing the browser quietly substitutes one from another font, and the only honest way to show that is to put them side by side. Watch for a character that suddenly changes shape or weight — that one is not in the face. The bitmap font is the exception: it is read out of its own image, so for it the missing characters can be named exactly.

Licensing. Anton, Outfit, Silkscreen and Jacquard 12 come from Google Fonts under the Open Font License. Bedrock Pixel is drawn by hand for this project and is not released for use elsewhere — it is here so you can see how a hand-drawn bitmap face compares against the others.
